IGRMS Library - At a Glance

Introduction

A Library is a storehouse of capsule knowledge and information on various aspects of human awareness. It is instrumental in inspiring individuals and nations to constructive efforts. Besides being an institution for social enlightenment, study and meaningful absorption of knowledge, a library helps widening horizons of human vision. Libraries are brain trusts and disseminating centre of knowledge in a society.

The Library was established in 1979 with objectives in tune with those of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. The library house-keeping operations are computerized. The library collection is of over 45,000 volumes, subscribing approximately 85 print periodicals (65 Indian, 20 Foreign), 13 Magazines, 21 News papers. The library uses the latest tools for technical processing of books and journals so as to facilitate the members to locate document easily.
