Journey of thousand miles begins with one small step and the aspired hearts overcome the hurdles, has been proved on the concluding day of ‘Rahen’ at Sparsh Bhawan, Bhopal.
‘Rahen’ a multifold training workshop on Oraon Tribal Painting organised by Indira Gandhi Rashtriaya Manav Sangrhalaya as part of its education and outreach activities at the Govt. Residential School for Physically Impaired and Special Children from 19th to 23rd July, 2018.
In form of this five day event ‘Rahen’ covered one phase of unending voyage of creativity and understanding of cultural tradition of the country by humble attempts of IGRMS and the special and physically impaired children .
An exhibition of paintings by children was also mounted on the occasion. Prof. Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri, Director, IGRMS, Mr. Dilip Singh, Joint Director, IGRMS along with Smt. Prabha Somvanshi, Superintendent, Residential School of Physically Impaired and Special Children distributed certificates to the participants.
The workshop witnessed an urge to know many things about a specific aspect of culture, mutual interaction and also to expose the creativity.
On this occasion visually impaired students of School welcomed the guest with a melodious song and also requested to the Director IGRMS to organise such activity for them so that they also can be the part of this ambitious mission of bringing cultural enthusiast together and would like to contribute to the society in way however they can.
Speech and hearing impaired students shared their views in sign language and expressed that the duration of the programme was too short and how this time passed on we could not get
